The founder who rewired Japan’s telecom industry joins the team building AI’s execution layer

Semmoto isn’t just a legend on paper. He founded DDI (now KDDI), liberalized Japan’s telecom monopoly, then did it again with e-Access and e-mobile (now Y!mobile) to bring broadband to millions, and again with Renova to push renewable energy forward.
He holds a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering and currently serves as Special Presidential Advisor and Distinguished Professor at Kyoto University, Presidential Advisor at Hokkaido University, and Visiting Professor at UC, ETH Zurich, and NYCU Taiwan.
